ESL Classes for 2016-2017

U.S. Citizenship Preparation Classes
Recommended for Permanent Residents(green card status) applying for U.S. Citizenship in 2017/2018. Students should have English speaking, reading and writing skills.
Classes will cover the Naturalization Process, U.S. History, Civics, Testing, Interview Practice, and N-400 Application Content.
Where: Brookdale Community College
213 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ
When: March 22 – May 24, 2017
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
How to Register? Cost is $25 per student for book and materials. Class size is limited to 15 students. Please call Literacy Volunteers of Monmouth County at 732-571-0209 to reserve a seat, or stop in room 102 to register.
New Family Literacy Classes
Family Literacy classes are for parents of pre-school through grade 3. Classes will focus on helping parents with English so that they can learn to read to their children and communicate with school personnel, doctors, etc.
Classes last 1 and 1/2 hours and no children are allowed. Interested parents should come to class beginning Monday, January 9th, 2017.
Where: First United Methodist Church, 91 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 (Classes will be conducted downstairs at the church.)
When: Mondays only, January 9th through May 22nd, 2017
Time: 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
